Centres of Spiritual Guidance
We live in a hectic world where time is a precious gift. Time to talk, discuss and argue is often missing. But People need time to renew their faith and restore their hope. People also need a place where they can fulfill these needs. The Protestant Academies create both time and space for the participants of their conferences. The Academies offer a base for decision making whilst the conferences underline the importance of an ethical and responsible way of life, as taught in the Bible. The three fundamental values therefore are Justice, Peace and "Safeguarding the Creation".
The Protestant Academies play an active role in bringing the Church and community together.
- The Protestant Academies are centres of dialogue where people can explore issues through open debate and discussion. Debates surround a variety of topics, which all concern and move people. The discussions cover both current topics as well as ideas surrounding future development.
- The Academies aim to create a "Third Place", an entity of time and space as well as the opportunity to evaluate the benefits of particular ideas. This ensures that we confront those particular questions which, out of fear and prejudice, often remain unanswered.
- The Academies create an open space for new ideas through common dialogue and an exchange of thoughts on spiritual guidance.
